Trademark Registration
Requirements:
- Information of applicant: name, address, and nationality
- Classes and specification of goods/services.
- A certified copy of the priority document. (If claiming priority)
- A copy of the mark.
- Copy of the business license showing the activities of the company
- POA form for use in Yemen. This POA shall be notarized and legalized up to the Yemeni Consulate. POA is required before filing
Time for a trademark registration: 4~6 Months
Patent Registration
Requirements:
- POA legalized till Yemeni embassy. The original is required.y
- Copy of commercial certificate for the company or copy of identification for individuals.
- Deed of assignment. legalized till Yemeni embassy. The original is required .
- Copy of the Priority document (the validity of the priority document is 6 months from the filing date in the country).
- Decision of acceptance for the patent in the priority country.
- Detailed Description of the patent.
- General Description of the patent.
- Claimed Components of the patent.
- Patent Samples.
- Background of patent field.
- Any other documents and information related to the patent.
Time for a Patent Registration: 12 Months
Industrial Design Registration
Requirements:
- The applicant's particulars: name, address and nationality
- The designer's particulars: name, address and nationality
- Notarized and legalized POA up to the Yemeni Consulate in the domicile of the applicant
- Notarized and legalized Deed of Assignment up to the Yemeni Consulate in the domicile of the applicant (if the applicant is a company)
- Two copies of the model or design, if it is two dimensional or two copies of each view thereof, if it is 3-D.
- Legalized copy of the priority documents (if claimed).
