Trademark Registration
Requirements:
- Original Notarized and Legalized POA, with full name and address of the applicant, (should be executed by an authorized representative of the applicant and whose name is mentioned in the Commercial Registration)
- Original Notarized and Legalized commercial registration or Certificate of Incorporation,
- Notarized and Legalized commercial registration certificate of the applicant up to the Libyan Consulate in the domicile of the applicant. (if the applicant is a company).
- Specimen (logo) of the mark,
Note:
- Original Notarized and Legalized Priority document -if any.
- All required documents must be filed together with the application AND the extension of time for filing the documents is not available
- All required documents must be notarized and legalized up to the Libyan Consulate where the applicant’s business is located.
Patent Registration
Requirements:
- POA signed, stamped by the applicant company and legalized up to the Libyan Consulate in the applicant home country.
- A legalized deed of assignment from the inventors (s) legalized up to the Libyan Consulate
- Notarized and legalized Power of attorney up to the Libyan Consulate in the domicile of the applicant
- A Certificate of Corporation legalized up to the Libyan Consulate
- A copy of the specification and a summary of the invention in English & Arabic.
- A copy of the specification and a summary of the invention in English & Arabic.
- Certified copy of Priority document.
Time for Patent registration: 3~5 YEARS
Industrial Design Registration
Requirements:
- A Power of attorney legalized by the Libyan Consulate (in case there is no Libyan Consulate, then a legalization may be made by any other Arabic Consulate).
- Certificate of incorporation or Extract from the Commercial Register legalized by the Libyan Consulate.
- 3 copies of the drawing of the design.
- Summary description of the design.
