- A copy of the mark.
- POA form for use in South Africa. Signed POA. Notarization and legalization is not required. A copy of the signed POA will suffice

Patent Registration
Requirements:
- Name & physical address of applicant and Inventor
- Form P3: Declaration & Power of Attorney
- Form P26: Declaration of Indigenous Biological Resources
- Assignment of Invention (if relevant)
- Assignment of Priority Rights (if applicable)
- PCT Application No. / WO Publication No.
- English translation of specification, claims (Under Article 19 or 34)
- English translation of priority documents – certified
- English translation of priority documents – not certified
- Priority Detail: Date, Country & No. of basic application(S)
- Specification, Claims, Formal Drawings, Abstract (Not more than 150 words long)
- International Classification (Strasbourg Agreement)
- Copy of published specification, International Search Report, International Preliminary Report on Patentability and nay translation made in the International Phase (plus English translation) – preferable before filing
Time for a Patent Registration: 15 Months
