Trademark Registration

Requirements:

  • The applicant's particulars: name, address and nationality
  • A specimen of the prints of the mark. Prints in colour are required when colors are claimed.
  • Simply signed power of attorney.
  • The list of the goods and/or services.
  • The priority document if any.
  • Classes and specification of the goods.
Time for a trademark registration: 3 Months

Note:

  • Multiple class registration is available in Morocco.
  • Home/Foreign Registration not required
  • No extra Fees for Long Goods/Services
  • No extra Fees for Color/Design mark

Patent Registration

Requirements:

  • The applicant's particulars: name, address and nationality
  • The inventor's particulars: name, address and nationality
  • Simply signed power of attorney
  • The priority documents (in case of priority claim)
  • The specification in French. The drawings if any
  • The Deed of assignment of priority right (if the inventor is not the applicant)

Industrial Design Registration

Requirements:

  • The applicant's particulars: name, address and nationality
  • The designer's particulars: name, address and nationality
  • Simply signed power of attorney.
  • Three sets of Formal drawings
  • Priority document, if any

Madrid Agreement, Madrid Protocol, Paris Convention, Patent Cooperation Treaty, Berne Convention, Universal Copyright Convention

Saudi Arabia: Subject to presenting a valid excuse, the Saudi patent office (SPO) has approved an extension of time for claiming priority in entering the national phase for the PCT applications. The Applications will be afforded the opportunity to file their late applications claiming their earliest priority. It's worth mentioning that the applicant must mention the reasons that made him unable to file his application within the thirty (30) month deadline.
