Trademark Registration

Requirements:

  • The applicant's particulars: name, address and nationality
  • Simply signed power of attorney. The deadline to submit the power of attorney is 3 months after the date of filing.
  • A certified copy of priority application (if claimed).
  • Classes and specification of goods/services
  • A copy of the trademark
Time for trademark registration: 12 months

Note:

  • Multiple Class Registration is available
  • Extra Fees for Color/Design Mark
  • extra fees for long Goods/Services

Patent Registration

Requirements:

  • The applicant's particulars: name, address and nationality
  • The inventor's particulars: name, address and nationality
  • Simply signed power of attorney. The deadline to submit the POA is 3 months after filing.
  • Certified and legalized deed of assignment
  • Legalized Priority documents is not required
  • Notarized Commercial Registration Certificate. The deadline to submit the Commercial Registration Certificate is 3 months upon filing
  • Please note that where the specifications and drawings are in a language other than English, a notarized translation to English language will be required.
  • PCT National Phase : Available.

Saudi Arabia: Subject to presenting a valid excuse, the Saudi patent office (SPO) has approved an extension of time for claiming priority in entering the national phase for the PCT applications. The Applications will be afforded the opportunity to file their late applications claiming their earliest priority. It's worth mentioning that the applicant must mention the reasons that made him unable to file his application within the thirty (30) month deadline.
