Trademark Registration

Requirements:

  • The applicant's particulars: name, address and nationality
  • Notarized and Legalized power of attorney up to the Bahraini Consulate in the domicile of the applicant.
  • A certified and legalized commercial registration certificate of the applicant, up to the Bahraini Consulate in the domicile of the applicant (if the applicant is a company).
  • Certified copy of the home/foreign registration required only up on request of the Registrar.
  • A simple copy of priority application (if claimed).
  • Classes and specification of goods/services.
  • A copy of the trademark.
Time for a trademark registration: 12~16 Months

Note:

  • Multiple Class Registration is not available
  • No Extra Fees for Color/Design Mark
  • No extra fees for long Goods/Services

Patent Registration

Requirements:

  • The applicant's particulars: name, address and nationality
  • The inventor's particulars: name, address and nationality
  • Notarized and Legalized power of attorney up to the Bahraini Consulate in the domicile of the applicant.
  • Notarized and Legalized deed of assignment up to the Bahraini Consulate in the domicile of the applicant. (if the inventor is not the applicant)
  • Certified copy of the Commercial Registration Certificate. (if the applicant is a company)
  • Specifications, Abstract, Claims and three sets of formal drawings.
  • Certified copy of the Priority Document. (if claimed) duly legalized up to Bahrain Embassy.
  • Certified copy of PCT filed application, if any.

Industrial Design Registration

Requirements:

  • The applicant's particulars: name, address and nationality
  • The designer's particulars: name, address and nationality
  • Notarized and Legalized power of attorney up to the Bahraini Consulate in the domicile of the applicant
  • A certified and legalized commercial registration certificate of the applicant, up to the Bahraini Consulate in the domicile of the applicant (if the applicant is a company).
  • Certified copy of the home/foreign registration required only up on request of the Registrar.
  • Certified copy of the Priority Document. (if claimed) duly legalized up to Bahrain Embassy.
  • Description of the Design and statement of novelty and three sets of drawing showing each view.

Saudi Arabia: Subject to presenting a valid excuse, the Saudi patent office (SPO) has approved an extension of time for claiming priority in entering the national phase for the PCT applications. The Applications will be afforded the opportunity to file their late applications claiming their earliest priority. It's worth mentioning that the applicant must mention the reasons that made him unable to file his application within the thirty (30) month deadline.
